Build strength, confidence, and endurance with this Seated Strength Training with Lynette session from February 25, 2026. After a gentle cardio and mobility warm-up, Lynette guides you through alternating upper and lower body strength exercises using 45-second work intervals with 15 seconds of rest, giving you time to challenge your muscles while still moving at a safe, manageable pace. All you need is a sturdy, armless, four-legged chair. You can use hand weights, or everyday household items like water bottles or canned goods — or no weights at all. Stay seated for the entire workout, or stand for some movements if it is safe for you. Remember: how you perform each exercise depends on your ability and your safety. Even if you’re unable to fully complete a movement, simply concentrating on moving or gently contracting the muscles helps strengthen the brain-body connection, which is incredibly valuable for progress. This free program is provided by the Working on Wellness Foundation and generously sponsored by the Frank and Hannah Grossman Charitable Trust. 🌐 Learn more and access more free classes: www.workingonwellnessfoundation.org #SeatedStrength #ChairWorkout #StrengthTraining #SeniorFitness #AdaptiveFitness #HealthyAging #FunctionalFitness #MoveMore #ExerciseForAll #WorkingOnWellnessFoundation #FreeExercise #StrongerTogether #HomeWorkout #BrainBodyConnection 00:00 Introduction and cardio / mobility warm-up 11:26 Main workout - 45 second interval, 15 seconds rest, upper and lower body strength 33:49 Stretching cool-down
