Bellas Artes, Chavón, Parsons, fueron escuelas de diseños que albergaron a Ignacio Alcántara. Pero algo le detenía de seguir haciendo pintura, y fue su pasión por hacer las cosas de cero o, literalmente, crear las cosas de cero. La libertad de no tener que ser Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso, lo llevó a reconectar con quien era de pequeño. Creaba sus propios juguetes, sus propios muñecos de acción, hasta crear su propia cámara. Comenzó a perseguir su deseo por animar y comenzó a desempolvar todo el conocimiento para poder retomar la fotografía análoga, luego de haber pasado bastantes malos ratos con la fotografía y almacenamiento digital. Ignacio Alcántara is an accomplished artist, illustrator, sculptor, animator, puppeteer, and video producer from the Dominican Republic. His work has been awarded and showcased at important exhibitions including the Biennale of Valence, and the Museum Reina Sofia in Spain, and other group shows and presentations in Central America, the Caribbean and throughout the United States.
