Draw Tip Tuesdays - Urban Sketching in Paris

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Bonjour from Paris. In this Draw Tip Tuesday I take you along while drawing on location here in the streets of Paris! I start this sketch with loose color to get rid of the blank page and then build the drawing from there. I show how I make decisions as I go, how I choose what to include, and how I simplify things so the drawing stays fun and playful. My main subject today is the metro entrance, and I talk you through how I capture it without getting stuck trying to do everything perfectly. This video is packed with tips for urban sketching, including drawing people, proportions, decision making, and even how to draw lettering in your sketchbook without needing to write it perfectly. Materials used in this video: - Daniel Smith Watercolors - Pentel Aquash waterbrush, broad - Derwent Inktense pencil, black (watersoluble) This is such a great reminder that your sketchbook can surprise you.
