Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! If you have 15 minutes, and a pair of favorite shoes or anything else that's scattered around... make a drawing! Copyrights koosjekoene.nl Music by Pascalo ------------------------------------------- Video Transcript: If you have 15 minutes, and a pair of favorite shoes or anything else that's scattered around... make a drawing! I started with a rollerball pen but it ran out of ink, so I'm switching to a fineliner. I draw the shape of the whole thing first, not the individual shoes or any details. The I start adding details and shadows. I find the hatching technique extremely satisfying. It's quite safe, because you color bit by bit, and layer by layer. This way you build the darker areas carefully. So that's what I'll do. Because I already drew the wrinkly bits in the outline, the suggestion of form is easily made by adding areas of hatching lines. The shoes are on the floor, so of course they need a cast shadow, which I add using single hatching lines. For the details, I keep checking the proportions between all the elements that I see. The inside of the shoe is very dark, and I can't see any details, so I'll just hatch and cross hatch it until the area is very dark. More hatching areas for wrinkles and form, and just some details ad then it's done. Thank you for watching this video! Would you like to learn more?
