Draw Tip Tuesdays - A Look Inside My Watercolor Sketchbook

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! In this video I am flipping through my Hahnemühle watercolor sketchbook. I like switching paper types and formats often because it keeps me on my toes. This book has watercolor paper with a bit of tooth, so the materials behave very differently from my previous sketchbook with smooth paper. I love how smooth paper works with my fountain pens, but the rougher watercolor texture gives an interesting character to my drawings too. The good thing is that I never have to choose. I switch between sketchbook types and brands each time I start a new one. This one holds so many great memories, especially with friends. About half of this sketchbook was filled while I was in Paris teaching the Paris Sketchbook workshop with my friends Cynthia Morris and Marcus McAllister.
