Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Maybe sometimes when you want to draw, you don't know what to draw. When drawing from observation, whatever catches your eye is interesting enough to start drawing it. And it's actually the other way around: as soon as you start drawing something, it becomes interesting (hence my hashtag #everythingisinterestingwhenyoudrawit) Today we'll draw one subject (I picked it as my subject pretty randomly because it was in front of me) repeatedly, in a slightly different position each time, until we fill up the whole page. Every time you draw the subject, it's a different challenge, but at the same time the subject becomes a bit more familiar, and you grow a little more confident with each drawing. Maybe even more importantly: you chose the subject and don't need to think about what the next thing will be to draw, this is it. This allows you to get into that wonderful creative flow, and just have fun drawing. I'm using a Pentel Pocketbrush, and I'll explain why I like using it, and how I can benefit from its features for this drawing.
