Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! How do you draw transparency? This question came from my Patreon community, and honestly, I wasn't sure either. So I took a simple glass jar that I have in my studio, and started looking. In this video I show what I notice as I draw: distortions, reflections, highlights, shadows, and how leaving parts of the paper white can make glass feel real. I draw the same subject not once, but twice, with different tools to see what changes and what stays the same. Materials used - Letterwish Sketchbook - Faber-Castell PITT oil based pencil, Extra Soft - Derwent Inktense water soluble pencil - Pentel Aquash waterbrush Curious what I did with those sticks and twigs in the jar?
