Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! In today's video, we’ll be exploring color palettes. I’ll show you how I choose and mix colors by creating palettes inspired by iconic cities like Miami, New York, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. Using reference photos, I explore pastel greens, peachy pinks, rich blues, and earthy brick tones. I mix watercolors to capture the essence of each place. You’ll see how these palettes completely transform the mood and style of the same drawing. I’ll also share tips on how to mix, collect, and document your own colors for future use. Whether you’re working with watercolors, colored pencils, markers, gouache paint or crayons, this is a fun way to add your own flavor and personal style to your sketchbook pages. Need an assignment this week? Look around for interesting color palettes or find photos that inspire you. Collect your custom palettes in your sketchbook and pick from them whenever you like. It’s fun, creative, and helps you stay in the moment. Let’s make our sketchbooks colorful and exciting!
