Draw Tip Tuesdays - Sketchbook Experiment | Let's See What Happens

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Today, I’m playing with a tool that I love… but not always. Tempera sticks! They look like glue sticks, but instead of glue, they hold vibrant, creamy paint. Sounds fun, right? But honestly, I don’t always know the best way to use them. So today, I’m diving in with the blob method—I’ll explain as I go! Along the way, I make some discoveries (good and bad), question my color choices (did I just paint a Smurf instead of a person?), and figure out what does and doesn’t work. That’s the magic of sketchbook play—experimenting, surprising yourself, and sometimes realizing, “Yeah, maybe this tool or color just isn’t for me.” Materials used in this video: - Handbook journal, size A5 - Pentel Pocket Brushpen with grey ink Your assignment this week: Grab a tool you’re unsure about—maybe one you haven’t touched in ages.
