Draw Tip Tuesdays - Sketchbook Tour: What Worked and What Didn’t

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! In this video, I flip through my latest sketchbook and share what worked, what didn’t, and what I tried anyway. I’m showing a Letterwish sketchbook with smooth but fairly thin paper. You’ll see watercolor washes, quite some layering, drawings with crayons, ink, coffee stains, and pages that buckle or bled through. All part of the process. Stuff captured in this sketchbook: quick drawings in cafés, gesture drawing, portraits. Experiments that weren't very succesful, and pages that surprised me. Some drawings I love, some I really don’t. All of them taught me something. This flipthrough shows that the sketchbook practice is really about trying things. About not being precious, and capturing moments on a page. I hope this inspires you for your own sketchbook practice. Extra Resources: 1.
