Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! It’s not the tool that makes you a better artist. But the tools you choose can completely change the vibe, mood, and feel of a drawing. Today: a loose, playful way to build an expressive, colorful sketchbook page using watersoluble crayons. Let's work with the same subject as last week. But with very different tools. Then you can clearly see how materials affect the story of a drawing. While I draw, I share a personal sketchbook story. At the end there’s a simple 10-minute assignment you can try with the tools that you have, right after watching the video. Simply start with scribbly marks, then turn them into a quick wash. Draw on top of it right away, while the page is still damp. No wasting time waiting or being precious. You got this. Just draw and respond to what’s already there. This approach is great if a blank page feels intimidating and you want to loosen up fast. Materials used in this video: - Etchr Sketchbook Square 20.4 x 20.4 cm - Caran d’Ache Neocolor II crayons; Sky Blue and Salmon Pink - Flat brush and water VIDEO LINKS -If you watched last week’s video, this one builds nicely on that.
