Draw Tip Tuesdays - How Light and Shadow Change Your Drawing

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Light and shadow can completely change a drawing. In this Draw Tip Tuesday, I explore how light direction affects shadows, depth, contrast, and even color. Using a simple subject and one moving light source, you will see how small changes create big visual impact and help your drawings feel more confident, dramatic, and interesting. There is also a simple drawing assignment in this video that you can try right away with things you already have at home. It is an easy way to train your eye, loosen up, and fill a very satisfying sketchbook page. If you watched last week’s video about drawing transparency, this one builds nicely on that.
