Draw Tip Tuesdays - Tiny adventure with tiny tools

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Come with me on a tiny adventure! It doesn’t have to be big to be an adventure. In this episode of Draw Tip Tuesday, I take my sketchbook into the woods near my home, embracing the cold February air and the challenge of sketching with a handful of tiny tools: crayons, colored pencils, and a water-soluble pencil. But oops, I forgot my water brush! No worries though, creativity always finds a way! Sketching in nature isn’t about capturing every detail perfectly. It’s about being present, enjoying the textures, and making marks that express the moment. Standing there, juggling my tiny sketchbook and switching tools, I didn’t have time to overthink or worry about perfection. Instead, I just drew - and that’s the beauty of it! This idea of tiny adventures was inspired by British illustrator Michael Nobbs (https://www.gogently.co), who introduced small, manageable creative outings into his sketchbook practice. It’s a great way to bring fresh energy to your art without needing a big plan or fancy tools. If you’re looking for a creative challenge this week, go on your own tiny adventure!
