Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Here’s a peek inside my latest sketchbook. This Strathmore Mixed Media journal is filled with discoveries, experiments, and lots of play. After finishing a black-and-white-only sketchbook (https://youtu.be/CYNmHw1CBQ4), I eased back into color with a limited palette and some materials I hadn't used often. I mixed things up with water soluble crayons, pencils, markers, and ink, sometimes layering or diluting with a water brush to create texture and depth. I love exploring new tools and techniques while keeping things simple. Some pages were drawn on location, others at home, often while chatting with friends and some while teaching. This sketchbook shows how much fun it can be to play, explore, and discover what works for you. If you’re looking for more inspiration, tips, or ways to draw together, check out my Patreon page (https://www.patreon.com/koosjekoene ). Or join one of my monthly mini workshops (https://koosjekoene.com/workshops) . They’re 90 minutes long, open to everyone, and come with a recording if you can’t make it live.
