Anatomical planes || आँटोमिकल प्लान्स An anatomical plane is a hypothetical plane used to dissect the body, in order to describe the location of structures or the direction of movements. In human anatomy, three principal planes are used which are:- 1.) Sagittal plane (longitudinal plane) Sagittal plane divides the body into left and right. 2.) Coronal plane or frontal plane Coronal plane divides the body into posterior and anterior portions. 3.) Transverse plane or axial plane Transverse plane divides the body into superior and inferior portions.
