So let's get started. For the past two, three years, believe it or not, but some companies are still trying to figure out how to get back on track. You know the way it was before, managers and supervisors are going to get trolled. I mean reckless, controlled, the disrespect was so running rampant before the pandemic.
Now once again they're trying to bring it back to the state of misery. Sorry guys, you won't succeed this time around. Tremendous amount of workers and I mean good workers that want to see results at the end of the day has found their voice and is speaking out against the workforce about the treatment they have received, the way companies conduct themselves and just overall mistreatment of the employees. These are taking notice and still scratching their heads as to what they're talking about.
Even management is covering their own asses and saying the same thing, we don't know what they mean. But when it comes to smart companies, they know exactly what these upset workers are talking about. Change. Smart companies were ahead of most other companies because they had their employees now on how to adapt to the changes.
So in this tutorial you will learn five key elements of change management. So into it. You have to understand you can't go in on a Monday morning schedule meeting and say we're going to be making changes. Stay tuned.
There's a lot of thought outwork that need to be done before the rollout. Such as what changes that need to be made, how will they improve the equality of work for the employees in the company? Will it provide better business opportunities and will this change improve the morale of the employees? So the first step is to prepare the organization for change.
Now you can have this meeting and address the change will be made within the companies whether it's overall or just certain departments. Let the team know what is going to take place regarding change, whether it's upscaling, rescaling, scope of work of processes being changed, overall prepare the organization for the change. In forming a strategic vision, this vision has to be vital to allow you to demonstrate a positive direction and to inspire those people who will be involved in the change. Avoid all the complexity and simplify the vision and must be clear, must be understood, and spark an interest with the team in no more than five minutes.
A compelling message must be said that will tell managers and employers that the future of doing business this way is a desirable place to go and the benefits from it. When they do this, they will have a much better chance of gaining the cooperation of others. When developing a vision and plan for change is good to use emerging business trends, company business data or forecasts, keep in mind you need relevant data to produce a sensible and appealing change vision and strategy. Whether it be entirely a new process, systems, software, or initiative change, implementation comes in many forms.
When a company effectively implement positive changes, employers are more organized and unified. Even as their process is shift, an organization that effectively implement these adjustments can adapt to changing markets and demands without major downtime and productivity or profitability or unity. Make sure you have a deadline for the change to roll out and hold to it. Discuss the change process with your employees, acknowledge your new steps and timelines for implementation.
The management team or change leaders should be ready to answer questions and concerns that arise immediately before and after the deadline. Sustain momentum. After implementing the change conduct follow-ups in regards to the new process in place and most importantly, start exiting out and not accepting the old process or procedures of doing things. First and foremost, you must identify and remove obstacles.
Again, this could be an etch and stone process or procedure that need to be replaced or revised. When it comes to employees that have been doing a particularly job for many years, they will be stuck in their ways. Have a private discussion with them to explain the process or procedures in their job duties are getting antiquated and need to be refined in order to be productive in that job description. Let them know this is a gradual transition but with an end date down the line.
After upskilling and re-skilling is being offered, as everything moves forward with the new changes, make sure to acknowledge the short wins and make sure everyone is on board with the accomplishment and allow any questions to be asked about the new process or procedures. After the new rollout has begun, you have to keep an eye out for some time to make sure the progress is being made also to make sure the employees are in trying to mesh the old process with the new process. When it comes to new software, it's much harder to do so but when it comes to job duty process, you can easily resort back to your old ways. So the bottom line is review the progress, analyze the results along the way, address the departments in regards to any questions they may have, but it's not really working since going on.
Encourage feedback from the employees since it's dumb that's doing the job. They need to feel confident and less stressed while doing it.
