What's going on guys welcome back to my channel online certification courses. The topic we want to talk about in this quick tutorial is going to be managers or you promote your employees. This is a big thing that I know over the years that a lot of managers there selfish when it comes to promoting their teams not only within their department but outside of their department as well that they frown upon it so many ways they feel it leaves them avoid to do extra amount of work which is if you have a higher end process in place it want to be any trouble promoting your team to other positions to other departments why you have a revolving door of candidates coming in to get employed to your department. let's get into managers are you promoting your workers yeah I understand a lot of employees they come in and to that department and they sit around you know two three year they're doing the work and they think promotion is going to present itself to them they think managers are going to pull you to the side so you know you're a great worker this and that and I think there's another position for you that you'll fit greatly in doesn't happen anymore from what I've seen over the years over 15 plus years it doesn't happen you guys got to be that go get it management isn't going to give you the green light they leave his is a her department and leave avoid right set it before is up to you actually and there's ways it could be done by you showing up showing out within that company you know you're meeting other co-workers from other departments other positions and you got to let them know what your work ethic is about what your background is about where you came from where you trying to accomplish why you at this company now it's going to hit a light bulb in one of these co-workers one of these managers in other departments and they may look into what positions are opening and they may drop something in your ear like looking for someone like you but don't go back thinking that well I got to it's up to my manager they're going to let me go or not there's some management that will hang on as I said before but also you can't sit there and wait for them to promote you they're selfish not all of them but some of their are they selfish they don't want you to leave they don't want to start over whatever scenario but you're trying to climb that ladder escalator style and sitting there won't get done that way you ever get that manager when you actually go up to them and ask them about this position you know I was checking the website out and they're hiring for this position and you know what do you think and you get that manager that says you don't want that position it's blosy blood you're gonna be working with someone so you don't want that position and you're sitting like I read the job description that's what I'm asking you about I want this and 9 out of 10 times you know your manager would discourage you from taking that position I'll play it around a few times and I mention it to you know my directors and so just to see what they they're gonna say you know I would have loved to take on that position but just to see what their head is at when it comes to me being in a position on that right now and they pretty much you know they shrugged you on and you know you don't want to work there and I knew the employees in that position is great people to work with actually so I just kept adding them back in my mind you know going forward into something I really want to take on them just going forward I'm not asking for any type of permission I'm applying for it giving my eyes move get out the way trying to build something quick but for managers you know you're almost so many levels there's a lot of red flags and you think your employees gonna stick around really the passion employees won't have the ambition and then drive you think you're gonna sit there in that position and now they're gonna be miserable you think they're gonna be productive I doubt it I know someone from my last job that couldn't get the certain promotion that they wanted and they literally left the company reapply for the position and got the position so just imagine he's seen his old manager he taught him the hell out of him every time he saw old management was like I thought he wasn't gonna do it the full doom and he kept climbing kept climbing did extremely well throughout the years and stuff and still in the same business right but that one manager alone if you were just sat there and just took what that manager was giving him he probably wouldn't have mounted to anything but the net you know that scope of work he was in so you got to keep that in mind you know you got to keep going got to keep asking questions and having people with you social network with the net company is a big thing also you know I got a tutorial on that I probably throw some thumbnails around as well so managers you got to do better as they say if you knew better hell you damn sure would do better and the thing is don't worry about the higher ups coming down saying why
