So when it comes to a food service manager keep in mind they wear many hats in this industry to make sure a food service operation runs smoothly. Besides managing employees they also involved in hiring, firing, training, scheduling and performance improvement. They maintain the facility resources by restocking food and supplies, inspecting equipment and managing the budget. When it comes to food safety they control as well by assuring compliance with local laws and best food safety practices.
They are also responsible for marketing, customer satisfaction and other important aspects of the business. If you manage a facility where food is sold or served you could benefit from having a high quality food safety training course as one of your accolades. The certification covers all restaurants, cafeterias, grocery stores, convenience stores and catering services. When it comes to a food handler they directly interact with food, food equipment, handling on packaged food or services that come in contact with food.
