So let's get started. Here in this one hour online course I will go over some of the topics that this business conduct practice course will teach you. Learn how to implement business conduct practices to meet compliance and risk management responsibilities in an efficient manner. You have to understand that employee conduct is central to the success of any company or business small or large.
But this is especially the case in the financial industry. The aim of the business conduct practices is to enable a company to avoid in conflict of interest, maintaining confidentality, and many other points I will touch on about this course. This course provides an understanding of the expectation associated with the business conduct towards the various entities and employee may interact with. Business conduct practices are defined by explanation of the ethical issue associated with various business interfaces and their appropriate behavior in each contact from both a company and an employee perspective.
So let's check out some of the subjects that this might touch upon and also give you some light on some of the business conducts that should be practiced at the business. A company does not condone any formal harassment. This includes harassment based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, meeting other bases protected by law. We are all responsible for creating a safe working environment.
Employees need to be trained on all safety devices and report any potential or actual hazards to your supervisor. Hazards can include security violations or criminal activities that take place on company premises. In addition, employees need to know to report any injuries or illnesses to their supervisor. Employees need to be discouraged and appropriate use of company property.
Employees are trusted to act responsibly, reasonably, and maturely. They use good judgment and all the use of company provided communication and computing devices, including but not limited to the internet. All forms are printed in electronic media, copy end devices, telephones and cell phones, desktop and laptop computers, hardware and software devices. Also aligned with business conduct practices is also workplace ethics and behavior.
Practicing and learning good work ethics plays an important role in bringing benefits to a business in so many ways. Generally having a strong ethic attract customers, clients who appreciate honest services that would then boost the sales and profits of your company. Many people may think this type of conduct is for the high end of the business, but also warehouse service departments as well. These two departments in general had the most customer interaction after a business transaction so it was also important to get them aligned with learning a good work ethic.
At times an employee may be talented in his or her line of work but lack the commitment and dedication to complete the task given. It requires a certain level of discipline to not only complete the task within a certain timeframe, but to also execute them as well. Instead of doing just the bare minimum at the very last minute, discipline employees are extremely important as they ensure that all assignments and projects are delivered in an executed and timely manner. If an employee has a strong sense of responsibility, he or she would certainly turn up for the work on time and complete the task given with the best efforts that he or she can offer.
Nevertheless, it will be a time when an employee may make a mistake, so it is very important it also be able to acknowledge these mistakes. Be accountable for it and accept any consequences. In certain scenarios, the net the cool manager would take accountability for their staffs or colleagues, for reasons that are not for self-interest, but for the well-being of all parties involved. This simple one-hour online course would be an eye-opener to some, but also help brush up on some new insights that may have been overlooked over some time.
