So let's get started. I'm making a part three to this tutorial to dig a little deeper when it comes to managers hiring people to manage.

You can also go back and check out the other two tutorials as well to get a better insight of the other points I have made when it comes to the selfish hiring practice and how you could pick up on the traits and move on with your career elsewhere. Comment below if you knew some more of these red flags as well so we could make note and help others. When it comes to management there's quite a few styles on how you work with your team. You can either be in a management role which you play out as a leader, a facilitator, a visionary or coach.

All of these styles are helpful when it comes to being productive and help keep morale high within your team and overall company. But there's another type of style of management that is out there that you don't want to stick around too long if you're trying to better yourself in your career. These unprofessional managers are toxic managers that hire somewhat under scale employees for the sole purpose to simply manage them. Of course some will say well that's what management is for, right?

Not quite the case here. You see these types of managers but not hire someone smarter than them and definitely won't hire anyone that's overqualified for the position. These types of managers hiring process consist of command and control approach to the hiring candidates. Hiring managers are hiring the wrong people on purpose.

They are simply looking for employees that they can micromanage throughout the day which number one makes them look good in front of the higher ups and number two ensure their employees won't try to become an autonomous worker or allow them to grow within the business. When it comes to managers hiring people to manage it would be hard for that employee to advance within that department or company for that fact due to the lack of resource or pushed to better yourself. Management knows only how to train you for that specific job and to correct your mistakes of that specific job. Also meaning management isn't showing the logistics, purpose, or why something is getting done for the fear of any employee will start out thinking them for better procedures.

Celia as it may sound, the hiring managers fear of hiring good workers, yes in some cases management will make sure to get a couple of good workers to lighten the workload of micromanaging but the foot is still on their necks as well because they won't advance as well. So what to look out for when it comes to these types of managers and their style of management it won't take long to figure out you're not going to advance anywhere in your department or company if you see these red flags. Command and control approach. You put it is either management way or the highway.

Micromanaging. Do you see a constant revisit of your manager while you're working and they're always reiterating your task at hand or explaining what needs to be done that is getting done already? Never satisfied. Even if task is completed productivity for the week is good, deadlines meant for your manager still has something negative to say about it all the time even if you get praise from the higher ups.

Not informative. Management will not give out any information even when asked about a process or procedure. Verbal communication. If you listen very closely to what these toxic managers are saying you will notice some of their conversations don't make sense.

Reversed or off target. I was once told I'm a senior technician and should have known better. Mind you, I've only been at this job for a year and a half. Far from being a senior don't you think?

Review time. You will really know what they think about you during a review time. If you truly believe that you put in the work for the year, management comes around, breaks you down to think that your fortunate just to be working here? It's time to go.

These are some of the red flags and of course there is more so please comment down below so you can help others out to keep an eye out for. Again, these managers hiring people just to manage is going to be a waste of your time and energy for management. It won't let you advance in any way and it's better you recognize early as possible so you can be paired with a next move which is on the big and better things for your career. Many things will take some time to check my tutorial out.

All the links will be in the description below to help better yourself. Please subscribe to your MSNOT any training certification courses you may want to pick up.
