As companies are still trying to get their own workforce back in order, these hiring managers are still stuck in their old ways. You know what they say. The sanity is doing something the same way and expecting a different result. Management and the big ones are sitting in meetings trying to figure out how to rail in these people back in.

Everyone knows it's making a good point and giving great ideas so the higher-ups are telling management to get hiring. And that's what the problem begins. I personally said in these types of meetings and higher-ups do want to know what is so hard to recruit and retain these employees. All I hear is management and supervise it blaming the employees for their shortcomings.

So in return, upper management will only say we need to have a better screening process in place. It's not a better screening process in place. It's how these hiring managers are trying to hire. I did a tutorial on managers hiring people to manage.

There is also a flip side to that which is managers are hiring people so they themselves don't have to work. Management is stuck on this key phrase not enough experience. I personally started a new job and the one position I went for I was told I didn't have enough experience but I actually got hired in there another position. But the position I received was based on an employee training and development position.

I had enough experience to get me through the door but not enough for the other particular position. My position consists of a mission between two departments. So between the training and development of those two departments I went through I've actually created a new position for the company I worked for and I was the first to go through the training and development process. Training is a formal process by which help individuals improve performance at work.

Development is the acquisition of knowledge, attitude or skills that prepares someone for new directions or responsibilities. Keep in mind that the training is one specific and common form of employee development. Other forms include coaching, mentoring, informal learning, self-directed learning, or experimental learning. Employee training and development help the employees understand their job position and become better at it and also overcome performance gaps that are due to lack of knowledge and skills.

Overall this helps the organization and team be more productive and also improve business outcome. Training and development also help a company embrace change with the proper rescaling and upscaling that will make it much more easier to do. Employee training and development can also be an effective tool when it comes to recruiting and retention. As we all know a lot of employees do leave their job due to the lack of growth or development opportunities.

There are so many different types of employee training and development but some of the most common ones are technical training. This is where the training is based on a technical task or product. Technical training is often customized to a particular job task at a single organization. Keep in mind skill training is training to help employee develop or practice skills that are necessary for their jobs.

Soft skill training. This is a subset of skill training that focus specifically on soft skills as opposed to technical or hard skills. These soft skills include emotional intelligence, adaptability, creativity, influence, communication, and teamwork. Some trainers are also referred to these soft skills as power skills or professional life skills.

Compliance training. To ensure everyone is safe at work this training is on action that are mandated by a law agency or policy outside the organization purview. When it comes to compliance training this is often industry specific but may include topics such as cybersecurity and sexual harassment. Management, leadership, development these two will cover how to be an effective manager and will learn collaboration, accountability, communication, and engagement.

For the leadership side of things you could learn how to set up learning events, coaching and mentoring methods. You will develop a knowledge and skills required to leave. Companies that are staying afloat or the ones that embrace change and one of the biggest change was the remote work. So a lot of these companies have said so long to the pack conference rooms when it came to employees training.

These smart companies took their training methods online for their employees. A lot of the training is time-based meaning you will have a fair end date when this need to be completed while still being productive. Keep in mind everyone's schedules are different so with this they have created such training like simulation including games for entertainment but at the same time is a formal learning program. They also have e-learning which is a self-paced may include prerecorded lectures content video visual and or text and knowledge quizzes.

Michael learning which consists of how-to videos, job aid, podcast, or even infographics. First the company organization need to do an assessment. Either management can do this depending on the size of the organization or looking to a talent development professional. Often an instructional designer you will start with your current conditions.

The assessment will uncover specific skills or knowledge gaps and identify on them the best way or method to close them. When an assessment is done if done by management they can submit this to a training and development vendor or if you have gone through an instructional designer such as ADT the Association for Talent Development it will create provide the training and a development programs for you.
