In this detailed CapCut Mobile tutorial, you’ll learn how to hand draw or doodle directly over your video using the Draw feature. Whether you want to highlight something on screen, write stylish text, or add animated sketches, this tool lets you do it easily. You can customize the brush style, size, hardness, and opacity — and even animate your drawing so it looks like it’s being drawn live. Perfect for vlog highlights, educational videos, or adding your own creative touch. Steps to Hand Draw Over a Video in CapCut Mobile: Import your video: Open CapCut Mobile and start a new project. Import the clip you want to draw on and place it on the timeline. Access the Draw tool: From the bottom toolbar, tap on Text, and then select Draw. This opens up the drawing interface. Customize your brush: Tap on Brush Style to choose how your line looks — you can select from solid, marker, glow, or crayon styles. Tap on the Color Picker to select your preferred color. You can pick any tone or use the palette for custom shades. Adjust the Size Slider to control how thick or thin your brush strokes appear — slide it right for thicker lines and left for finer details. The Hardness Slider determines how sharp or soft the edges of your stroke are — a softer edge looks more natural, while harder edges are bolder. The Opacity Slider controls the transparency — move it right for a solid color or left for a see-through effect. Draw over your video: Now, freely draw or write on your video using your finger or stylus. You can circle important objects, underline text, make arrows, or even write your name for a signature-style look. Take your time — every stroke you make will be visible over your video. Finish and create a drawing layer: Once you’re done, tap the checkmark to apply the drawing. CapCut automatically creates a drawing layer above your video clip. You can drag this layer along the timeline to control where your drawing appears or disappears. Animate your drawing: Tap on the drawing layer and select Animation from the bottom options. You’ll see three categories: In, Out, and Loop animations. Tap In and choose Wipe Right to make your drawing appear gradually, just like it’s being drawn by hand. You can also experiment with Fade In or Pop Up animations for creative effects. Adjust the animation duration by dragging the slider to control how fast or slow your drawing appears. Fine-tune and preview: Move or resize your drawing if needed — pinch to scale or drag to reposition it. Then hit play to preview how your doodle looks in motion. #capcut #capcuttutorial #capcutmobile
