In this step-by-step tutorial, I’ll show you how to add or customize a background for your video in CapCut Mobile. Whether you want a simple color backdrop, a photo background, or a cinematic blurred look — CapCut gives you full control to transform your video’s style. This is super useful for reaction videos, YouTube shorts, or any clip where you want to fill those empty sides after cropping or resizing. Steps to Add a Background in CapCut Mobile: Import your video: Start by opening CapCut and creating a new project. Import the video you want to edit. Scale down the clip: Use two fingers to pinch and slightly scale down your video so the empty background area becomes visible. Open the Background tool: From the toolbar at the bottom, scroll and tap on Background. You’ll see three background options — Color, Image, and Blur. Color: Tap Color to add a solid color background. You’ll see several preset colors. Tap any to apply instantly. For more customization, tap the color picker to choose your own shade — perfect for matching your brand or aesthetic. Image: Tap Image to use a photo background. You’ll see CapCut’s built-in image options like textures, gradients, or scenery. To add your own background, tap the plus (+) icon and select any photo from your gallery. You can even reposition or resize your main video to fit better with the chosen background. Blur: Tap Blur to use your video itself as the background — but blurred for a professional, cinematic look. CapCut gives you different blur styles to try, such as soft blur, strong blur, and motion blur. Choose the one that fits your mood or edit style best. #capcut #capcuttutorial #capcutmobile
