Short lecture on lone pair hybrid orbitals in non-linear polyatomic molecules. As the number of non-bonding electron pairs around a central atom increases, the other bond angles decrease. This is reflected in the level of hybridization of the bonding orbitals, which is sp3.3 for NH3 and sp4.0 for H2O.
