Given P(x)=2x3+23x2+40x, the task is to determine which polynomial(s), when added to P(x), make the result divisible by (x+9). The session applies polynomial division, examines remainders, and uses the factor theorem to identify valid solutions from a set of options. This problem illustrates how divisibility conditions can guide the construction of new polynomials.
