Welcome to Week 5 Tutorial 2 of the course "Mathematics for Data Science I" by Profs. Neelesh Upadhye, Madhavan Mukund. Full Course: https://study.iitm.ac.in/ds/course_pages/BSMA1001.html Video Overview In this lecture, we solve a problem involving temperature modeling using quadratic equations. Anshu fits a quadratic equation to approximate the temperature at a location based on the time of day. With the help of a given data table and the fitted quadratic expression, we identify the time interval during which the temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius. We also analyze the accuracy of the quadratic model in predicting temperature values, highlighting the role of curve fitting and approximation in mathematical problem solving.
