In this screen cast I show how our criteria of chemical equilibria for pure component systems, namely the equality of molar Gibbs free energy, can be replaced with an equality of fugacity or fugacity coefficient of the two phases.
I emphasize that in Chapter 7 our focus is on pure component phase equilibria. We will equivalently show how we can transform the equality of chemical potential criteria to an equality of fugacity for mixtures later.
