In this example we are asked to first derive an expression for the differential of Cp with respect to P at constant T. Then using this expression, show that Cp and Cv for an ideal gas are only a function of T. The problem will be broken up into two screen casts (a and b). First we derive the desired differential expression and use it to show that Cp is only a function of T for the special case of an ideal gas. Then in the next screen cast we will derive the relationship between Cp and Cv, and use this to show that Cv is only a function of T for the special case of an ideal gas.
