In Chapter 11 we introduce the concept of ideal solutions and discuss how to compute the fugacity of ideal solutions. Here, we start by first reviewing what we have done so far, namely defining fugacity with respect to an ideal gas. We discuss what we have done and why, and then use this to motivate the use of ideal solutions to compute the fugacity of liquid phases.
