Chad provides a comprehensive lesson on RC circuits which have both resistors and capacitors. The lesson begins with a description of the process of charging and discharging a capacitor, and how neither is instantaneous in an RC circuit. He then shows graphically the time dependence of the charge and potential difference across a capacitor over time and the current in an RC circuit over time, and presents the equations for the time dependence for all three. The time dependence for each of these involves the time constant which is the product of the resistance times the capacitance. Chad concludes the lesson with an RC circuit problem for which he solves for the charge and potential across a capacitor after a given amount of time. 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:48 Charging and Discharging Capacitors 10:25 Calculating Charge and Potential over Time on a Capacitor Check out Chad's General Physics Master Course: https://www.chadsprep.com/physics-youtube #generalphysics #physicstutorial
