Chad provides a physics lesson on fluid dynamics. The lesson begins with the definitions and descriptions of laminar flow (aka streamline flow) and turbulent flow. He then identifies the four characteristics of an ideal fluid and contrasts that with viscous flow as described by Poiseuille's Law. The lesson then progresses to the more calculation intensive portion with flow rate, the equation of continuity, and Bernoulli's equation. Chad first shows how to use the equation of continuity to calculate the fluid velocity when the cross-sectional area of a pipe changes. Then Chad completes the lesson by solving two Bernoulli's equation practice problems, one that demonstrates the Venturi Effect. 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:52 Laminar Flow vs Turbulent Flow 01:37 Characteristics of an Ideal Fluid 02:07 Viscous Flow and Poiseuille's Law 05:56 Flow Rate and the Equation of Continuity 09:19 Flow Rate and Equation of Continuity Practice Problems 13:22 Bernoulli's Equation 14:45 Bernoulli's Equation Practice Problem; the Venturi Effect 20:38 Bernoulli's Equation Practice Problem #2 Check out Chad's General Physics Master Course: https://www.chadsprep.com/physics-youtube #generalphysics #physicstutorial
