Presenter: Danielle Capretti This session demonstrates how American poetry can inspire students to create dynamic performance pieces. Together, we’ll consider the benefits of performing poetry in the language classroom, examine pieces by several American poets and ways to dramatize them, and learn about exciting extension activities that integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening. By the end of the webinar, participants will have a collection of poetry-based activities that can be immediately implemented to energize lessons and deepen students’ appreciation of American poetry.
