Project-Based Learning (PBL) has many benefits for STEAM instruction. PBL incorporates opportunities for meaningful language use across the four skills, as well as the acquisition of subject-specific language. Language educators, however, often wonder how to create projects tailored to the content and language needs of ELLs. This webinar is for EFL teachers who want to align their STEAM instruction with the acquisition of 21st century skills, while simultaneously supporting students’ language development. Participants will be able to identify the characteristics of strong projects in STEAM courses, explore a framework for developing clear language objectives for PBL, and analyze sample projects.
