"How can I create a classroom that meets the needs of all my learners, when I have so many different levels and types of students?" While there is no one right answer to this question, an effective approach is to establish short routines and structures during the crucial first and final 5 minutes of every class that allow different access points to the language goals of your classroom. In this webinar, we will briefly review theoretical foundations that support the need for these routines, and then examine specific opening and closing activities that focus on language development, student autonomy, and accessible learning opportunities for students of all levels. A language class session can be compared to a good story with a beginning, middle, and an end. This webinar focuses on creating strong beginnings and endings to a class in order help teachers meet the language goals of all of their students as well as curriculum requirements.
