Presenter: Melanie González Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a powerful framework for creating motivating and effective learning activities. One of its core principles, Multiple Means of Expression (MME), allows students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways, such as through writing, visual arts, digital media, or oral presentations. This flexibility enhances students’ willingness to communicate in the EFL classroom while also increasing their motivation and engagement. In this session, we will examine how MME can promote deeper engagement and more meaningful experiences for English learners. Additionally, we will explore practical strategies for designing activities that incorporate MME and discuss how to manage potential challenges.
