Chad introduces the Strong Acid-Strong Base titration curve and provides a thorough lesson on how to perform Strong Acid-Strong Base Titration pH calculations. Reactions between strong acids and strong bases effectively go to completion, and therefore the reaction between them can be treated as a limiting reagent calculation. If after the reaction between them there is excess strong acid, then its molarity can be determined and the negative log taken to calculate the pH. If after the reaction between them there is excess strong base, then its molarity can be determined and the negative log taken to calculate the pOH which is then subtracted from 14 to determine the pH. And if an equal number of moles of strong acid and strong base are added (i.e. the equivalence point) then there is no excess acid or base left in the solution and the pH will be 7.
