Chad provides a comprehensive lesson from Chemical Equilibrium on Equilibrium Calculations using ICE tables (aka ICE charts), and if you have struggled with equilibrium concentration and equilibrium constant problems, never fear, Chad makes ICE tables easy. He explains how ICE tables work, when x should be positive or negative and how to solve for equilibrium concentrations. He works out several ICE table practice problems including those where the quadratic equation can be avoided either due to having a perfect square or when the equilibrium constant is very small so that 'x' is so small that when it is added or subtracted it is insignificant and can be ignored. I've embedded this playlist as a course on my website with all the lessons organized by chapter in a collapsible menu and much of the content from the study guide included on the page. Check this lesson out at https://www.chadsprep.com/chads-general-chemistry-videos/equilibrium-calculations/ If you want all my study guides, quizzes, final exam reviews, and practice exams, check out my General Chemistry Master Course at https://www.chadsprep.com/genchem-youtube 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:28 Equilibrium Calculation #1 -- No ICE Chart Needed 03:06 Equilibrium Calculation #2 -- ICE Chart and Perfect Squares 14:30 Equilibrium Calculation #3 -- ICE Chart and Small 'x' https://www.chadsprep.com/ #generalchemistry #chemistrytutorial #chemicalequilibrium
