Chad provides a lesson the mathematical relationships between Ecell, Delta G, and the Equilibrium constant, Keq. First the standard cell potential (Ecell) is calculated for a reaction from a table of standard reduction potentials. This value for Ecell standard is used to calculate Delta G standard. The standard Ecell value is then also used to calculate the equilibrium constant, Keq, for the reaction. I've embedded this playlist as a course on my website with all the lessons organized by chapter in a collapsible menu and much of the content from the study guide included on the page. Check this lesson out at https://www.chadsprep.com/chads-general-chemistry-videos/cell-potential/ If you want all my study guides, quizzes, final exam reviews, and practice exams, check out my General Chemistry Master Course at https://www.chadsprep.com/genchem-youtube 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:29 Ecell, Delta G, and Keq 03:19 Delta G = -nFE 06:26 Ecell = RT/nF lnKeq https://www.chadsprep.com/ #generalchemistry #chemistrytutorial #electrochemistry
