「Learn Japanese」 The Particle で as an Instrument Marker で as an instrument marker When で is used as an instrument marker, it indicates by what means an action occurs. Example(s): 日本語で手紙を書きました。 Nihongo de tegami wo kakimashita. "I wrote the letter in Japanese." 車で秋葉原に行きました。 Kuruma de Akihabara ni ikimashita. "I went to Akihabara by car." はしでお寿司を食べました。 Hashi de osushi wo tabemashita. "I ate sushi with chopsticks." *A special case in which the で is dropped is in the presence of the verb 歩いて, or “to walk”. As opposed to "Aruite de konbini e ikimasu", "Aruite conbini e ikimasu" is the correct grammar. ✧¸¸.•*¨*• •*¨*•.¸¸✧ This video series is presented by becauseofdreams. http://becauseofdreams.com/ For the sub-domain dedicated to the Japanese grammar patterns covered in this video series and other aspects of learning the Japanese language and culture, visit http://learnjapanese.becauseofdreams.com/ All media presented in this video is created and owned by becauseofdreams or is used with complete permissions. ✧¸¸.•*¨*• •*¨*•.¸¸✧ Edit(s): *Please do leave a comment below if you notice any potential errors so I can include a notification about it!
