「Learn Japanese」 て-Form VERB + 下さい as "Please do VERB" and て-Form VERB + 下さいませんか as the more polite "Would you please do VERB?" Example(s): 写真を取って下さいませんか。 Shashin wo totte kudasaimasenka. (Would you please take a photograph?) 静かになってください。 Shizuka ni natte kudasai. (Please quiet down.) To change the context of this construct into requesting a negative action, replace the て-Form of the verb with the ない-Form of the verb followed by a で. Example(s): 写真を取らないで下さい。 Shashin wo toranaide kudasai. (Please do not take photographs.) うるさくならないで下さいませんか。 Urusaku naranaide kudasaimasenka. (Would you please not become noisy?) ✧¸¸.•*¨*• •*¨*•.¸¸✧ Support Learning Japanese on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/learningjapanese This video series is presented by becauseofdreams. http://becauseofdreams.com/ For the sub-domain dedicated to the Japanese grammar patterns covered in this video series and other aspects of learning the Japanese language and culture, visit http://learnjapanese.becauseofdreams.com All media presented in this video is created and owned by becauseofdreams or is used with complete permissions. ✧¸¸.•*¨*• •*¨*•.¸¸✧ Edit(s): *Please do leave a comment below if you notice any potential errors so I can include a notification about it!
