Step by step, we compute sample means, standard deviations, sample covariance, and finally the correlation coefficient to understand the relationship between these variables. The lecture also discusses how to interpret the value of the correlation and understand the meaning of a negative correlation in this real-world context. By the end, you’ll gain practical experience in linking statistical formulas to real data scenarios.
