Using a simple and relatable example of rolling a die 30 times, we explain the step-by-step process of computing the mean, finding deviations from the mean, and determining both sample variance and standard deviation. The lecture highlights why we divide by (n - 1) instead of n when calculating sample variance, ensuring a deeper conceptual understanding. This session is ideal for learners revising descriptive statistics or applying them in real-world data analysis.
