Leaning how to motivate teenagers and children to obey house rules, respect parents and others is an important parenting skill The information in the videos is applicable not only for difficult teens, but is an excellent resource for parents of children of all ages. In fact the sooner a parent starts using the techniques taught in these videos, the sooner they will see a positive impact with their children. This is the 2nd of 4 sample clips from the 1st video in the series titles "How to Motivate Your Teen". This clip talks about how to create leverage to use when motivating good behavior with you teen. The best key to motivating your teen is a solid and productive relationship with them, however, if your relationship is not where you'd like it to be you may need to create some leverage until your relationship can get there. Leverage give you the ability to influence and motivate your teen on the long term. Leverage occurs when a person holds the keys that motivate another person. Supervisors, coaches and teachers often have a great deal of leverage as a result.
