Chad provides a lesson in which he demonstrates how to calculate the mass defect of a nuclear reaction and then the energy released during a nuclear reaction (E=mc^2). The lesson includes how to convert the mass defect from atomic mass units to kilograms so that the nuclear energy can be calculated in Joules.
