Chad has provided a comprehensive lesson on Solubility Equilibria that centers on a discussion of Ksp and molar solubility. Solubility reactions and their corresponding Ksp expressions are introduced with four example problems being worked out. The common ion effect is also presented as well as how the presence of a common ion affects the calculation of the solubility from Ksp. The lesson is concluded with a demonstration of how Ksp can be used to compare relative solubility.
