Hey everybody, thanks for stopping by the Outlaw Yoga channel today on YogaDownload.com. I'm going to be doing a great workout for a posture breakdown of crow, bachasana pose. I like to call this pose the gateway drug to all their arm balances and inversions and I consider it a very nice reward for hardworking yogis so we do an awful lot of it at Outlaw Yoga. I thought it would be really cool to bring in a crow expert, Megan Zamora, one of our awesome teachers, to demonstrate for us.
So Megan's going to take a squat at the front of her mat, plant the hands about shoulder widths distance so wherever it feels neutral to you, wherever your hands are for chaturanga is a good place for the hands here. She brings her knees as high up in the armpits as she can get them onto the back of the triceps and then starts the hinge forward, making a 90 degree shelf of the arms and the upper body. And then she just plays with lifting one big toe and then maybe one day the other, squeezing and hugging the heels up towards the glutes and then hugging the belly up tight to become light in the knees. She shoots back to low plank.
Look at that, up dog and down dog. Make sure that when you experiment with this float, shoot or fall back, you will fall the first few hundred times, yeah, that you hug up a lot through the belly so that you can land as light as possible. Thank you so much for stopping by the Outlaw Yoga channel. We'll see you again soon.
Namaste. Namaste.
