Game theory is the study of strategic interdependence, which is why we will heavily rely on its methodology going forward. However, game theory is not perfect. It only maps assumptions into logically valid conclusions. As such, we must make sure we only use sensible assumptions, otherwise we will wind up with potentially silly (but logically valid) conclusions. This video wraps up the first unit in international relations. Next time, we will explore general models of conflict and cooperation.
