Now you know how to stop using filler words, get my 101 Team Building Exercises Book 📖 on Amazon: https://geni.us/teamexercises How to stop using filler words? During this exercise, the participants will become aware of the filler words they use. Therefore, after the exercise they will be able to choose not to use them anymore. Instead of filling every pause with filler words, they will be more comfortable with silent pauses. 🙊 #InspirationGame #CommunicationSkills #Workshop #HowToStopUsingFillerWords Do you like this exercise? Let’s give these variations a try: 1. In addition to telling each other what they would like to change within the team, you can let the participants tell each other different kinds of stories. For example, they can also talk about a holiday that they remember or about something they know a lot about. 2. In addition to using handclaps, the monitor can use different sounds to alert the speaker to his filler words or “ums”. For example, when you want serious energy, you can just let the monitor interrupt the speaker by just saying he used a filler word. When you want a more lighthearted energy, the monitor can make an “oink” or other funny sound. Can’t get enough of this exercise? In my new book you will find more variations.
