Eclipse Observation Location and Time: The total solar eclipse was observed in Glendo, Wyoming on August 21st, 2017, with totality occurring at approximately 11:42 AM. Eclipse Duration: The total eclipse lasted for about 2 minutes and 29 seconds. Bailey’s Beads Phenomenon: Before totality, the Moon’s uneven surface caused sunlight to shine through valleys, creating a beaded effect known as Bailey’s beads. Solar Eclipse Observation: Description of the solar eclipse observation, including the visibility of the corona, prominences, and the solar wind. Corona Characteristics: The corona is made of wispy gaseous elements streaming away from the Sun, extraordinarily hot, and glowing due to their high temperature. Prominence Features: Prominences are huge loops of hydrogen gas, much bigger than Earth, visible as pinkish loops on the Sun’s surface.
