#ros2jazzy #robotics #mechatronics #engineering I am working on the development of a low-cost mobile robot platform that can be used for robotics, computer vision, and AI learning. I have developed and implemented a servo control system for wheels of a mobile robot. I control the robot by remotely connecting to Raspberry Pi 5, and by sending set points for wheel rotations to the servo control algorithm implemented in C++ and Arduino. However, due to the wheel slip, the robot drifts over time and the position tracking is lost. That is why we need an inertial measurement unit or some other sensor to more accurately track and control the robot position in space.
